Networking and Wide-Area Systems Group

In essence, we are a cool bunch of nerds who are very passionate about building real systems that actually make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

We strive to build systems and networking infrastructures that are fast, reliable and easy to use. We take great pride in the depth and breadth of our many research projects that cover a wide range of areas including:

  1. Distributed systems

  2. Wireline and wireless networking

  3. Operating systems

  4. Security and Privacy

  5. Technologies and applications for the developing world.

Many of our projects embody a strong inter-disciplinary collaborative spirit. We are proud to work very closely with the TIER group at UC Berkeley, the PDOS group at MIT and the CATER group at NYU, which is a collaboration between the NYU Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, NYU school of Medicine, NYU Wagner school of Public Policy and the NYU department of Economics.
